Wrapping it Up

How did we reach the end of the year so quickly? But here it is and there are always lots of fun activities associated with finishing up, especially if you're a fifth grader and graduating to middle school.

First up was Beach Day and the weather couldn't have been better for building sand castles and playing in the water.

Next up was the end of the year party at Family Fun Center. The Innovators enjoyed the go karts, arcade games and laser tag.

And finally the last day! The final Gathering, giving presentations to parents, signing yearbooks and lots of hugs!

Immigration Fair

The Innovators learned so much about their family histories by doing ancestry research. And their presentations really demonstrated what they had learned and the diversity we have in our pasts. The Immigration Fair was a great success with awesome projects and lots of visitors.

Final Countdown!

The Innovators are hard at work on their final assignments, a Makerspace project and an ancestry project. A big part of these two tasks was time management, handling two things at once and prioritizing what they needed to do to make the deadlines. These skills will serve them well next year in middle school.

 

And then there were the ones who were done with everything and got to relax and enjoy the Makerspace!
